Colibri Vineyard - May 12^th, 2007 -  (Click on photo for full size)

Colibri is a LONG drive from Tucson but well worth the effort.  We had 20 dedicated people attend on Saturday May 12th.  We met at 1PM and socialized for a bit before the owner & wine master, Bob Johnson, started us on the tour.  He has a very interesting tale to tell about how he came upon the property, and how it was turned from an apple orchard into a vineyard.  We know the answer - but I'll leave it up to you to find Bob and discover for yourself.  The weekend was gorgeous!  The tour was fascinating and fun.  After a delicious tasting of Colibri wines we served some smoked meats (Thanks to Kendall & Kirk) along with many tasty side dishes brought by the attendees.  In addition several of us RV'd overnight at the vineyard.  We need to visit Colibri again!!!
